The Super Eagles of Nigeria, in the absence of their erstwhile captain and goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama were Thursday defeated by the Leopards of the Democratic Republic of Congo in an international friendly in Belgium.
Super Eagles of Nigeria coached by Sunday Oliseh were defeated 2-0 in a match which for the major part was dominated by the Congolese.
The Eagles will now turn their attention to a stiffer opposition, as they ready themselves to take on another international friendly this weekend. This time around, team Nigeria will lock horns with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
Vincent Enyeama who got entangled in a row with Oliseh was absent from the game due to his altercation with Oliseh, which evidently resulted in the former’s abrupt announcement of his retirement from international duty.
