Nigeria’s Super Eagles have slipped to 44th position in the monthly rankings of football playing nations by FIFA.
The Super Eagles played good games against the indomitable lions in the month under review, defeating Cameroon 4-0 at Uyo and playing a 1-1 draw in the return leg at Yaounde.
Nevertheless, Nigeria moved downwards on the grading and are now fifth in Africa, according to FIFA.
The Super Eagles are fifth best team in Africa, however, Egypt remains’ the best on the continent, other teams in the top five are Tunisia, Senegal, and Congo DR.
Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Cote Dívoire, Morocco make up Africa’s top 10.
Meanwhile, Germany regained top spot in the world ranking while Brazil, Portugal, Argentina, and Belgium are in the top five.
Poland, Switzerland, France, South-American champions, Chile and Colombia make up the top ten.
