The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA) has declared Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka’s assertion of assassination attempts on the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari by depraved politicians as nothing but “sensationalism and rumor pedding”.
In a statement jointly signed by the National Coordinator Comrade, Emmanuel Onwubiko and National Media Affairs Director, Zainab Yusuf, the rights group has decided to drag Mbaka to Pope Francis, if he’s not reprimanded by the Catholic Bishop Conference (CBCN) within the next 21days and also stopping him from being actively involved with politicians.
HURIWA stated that Mbaka should be ashamed for displaying an outright ignorance of the mode of operation of the democratic and law based tenets and provisions of constitution which makes every suspects have their day in court.
Has Fr. Mbaka presided over any case of grafts which involve any past political office holder and found them guilty being presiding judge.
HURIWA asked Buhari to empower an able professionals to head anti corruption agencies and restructure them to weed out those who had compromised.
