Oyo-Ita Commissions Projects For Workers

Head of Civil Service Winifred Oyo-ItaThe Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita has commissioned three Information Technology Infrastructures (ITI) Projects and one fitness/well-being centre in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation for the Federal Civil Servants.
The three ITI projects commissioned by the Head of Service as part of the activities marking the 2016 Nigerian Civil Service Week Celebration are Human Resources Management Information System (HRMIS) Infrastructure, Digital Service Centre (DSC) and Knowledge Acquisition Venue (KAV).
While commissioning the projects, Mrs. OYO-Ita said that the mission of her Office is “to provide a professional civil service that is anchored on stewardship, trust and stakeholder engagement that ensures MDAs are equipped for policy management and good governance.”
She said that the Federal Civil Service under her leadership recognizes the service as the engine room of good governance with key contributory roles by the private sector as stakeholders in the development process.
In his welcome address at the commissioning ceremony of the projects, the Permanent Secretary, Common Services Office in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Alhaji Yemi Adelakun  urged Civil Servants to avail themselves the ample opportunity provided by the Head of Service and utilize the facilities, maximally.
In past months of her stewardship as Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, the Federal Civil Service has witnessed unprecedented turn-around through formulation and implementation of strategic initiatives which are geared towards developing and implementing an Efficient, Productive, Incorruptible and Citizen-Centred (EPIC) Civil Service using cutting –edge technology innovations.
