The Federal Government through the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Abubakar Magaji has declared thursday October 1 as a public holiday to mark the nations 55th independence celebration.
In a statement signed by the Ministry’s Director of Press, Yusuf Isiaka on monday the permanent secretary all Nigerians both home and in diaspora and also thanked them for supporting the President in his efforts to build a united and peaceful nation.
He further urged Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for peace and unity across the country.
