TSA: Remita to remit 1% commission already collected to CBN

Melaye this known to back his claim that Systemspecs was has already raked in N25bn for mopping up N2.5trn from federal government ministries, departments and agencies; and transmitting them to the CBN.

“I have a copy of letter from the CBN to Systemspecs directing them to remit back 1percent they have collected,” he said. ‎

He presented the letter to the senate and also raised an issue of libel against a journalist over an article in a national newspaper.

He alleged that the journalist assassina‎ted his character, praying the senate to investigate the matter. Melaye maintained that some people were‎ trying to blackmail and intimidate the senate for standing by the people, adding that the upper legislative chamber would continue to fight corruption.

He praised President Muhammadu Buhari for implementing the TSA scheme, emphasising that the senate would always work with the president to fight corruption.
