Kogi State Governor, Idris Wada this morning declared 3 days of mourning in honour of the late governorship candidate and former governor of the state, Prince Abubakar Audu.
Capt. Wada described Prince Abubakar Audu as a great Kogite, a great Nigerian, one who has contributed immensely to the socio-economic and political development of Kogi State.
He commiserated with the family of the late Prince Audu and the entire people of Kogi State, describing Audu as a leader who always strove to give his pursuits the very best.
In reminiscence, Wada said he has been friend with the late Audu since the 1970s. Stating that the former governor is an example of the Kogi spirit of unity and resilience.
The statement credited to the governor was signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Adegbemiro Jegede.
