The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) hailed the Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung, for admonishing the body to stick to a proper developmental framework for players of the U-17 and U-23 national teams before approving International Transfer Certificates for these players.
It has been said by the NFF that they are developing structures for monitoring the career progression of these players, with a view to make sure they sign contracts that will be in their best interests and the best interest of the nation.
Pinnick urged the media to try to always put issues in proper perspective, and to support the push of the NFF for greater involvement of Corporate Nigeria in football by avoiding negative headlines. He laid emphasis that the NFF does not sell players, and has never been in the business of selling players.
