Crystal Palace beat Liverpool 3-2 on penalties to win the 2025 Community Shield after a 2-2 draw. This is Palace’s first-ever Community Shield title.
Last season’s FA Cup winners twice came from behind in 90 minutes and then won it in the shootout. Palace goalkeeper, Dean Henderson was the hero again for Palace, saving from Alexis Mac Allister and Harvey Elliott. Mohamed Salah, meanwhile, blazed his effort over the crossbar.
Alisson denied Eberechi Eze from the spot and Borna Sosa rattled the crossbar, but Oliver Glasner’s side ultimately emerged victorious.
