It rained goals as the Champions League returned on Tuesday night, with Lionel Messi finally scoring a goal against Gianluigi Buffon, as Barcelona outclassed Juventus 3-0 at the Nou Camp.
It was Messi who opened the scoring almost on the stroke of half time, after exchanging passes with Luis Suarez. The Argentine helped to set up the second goal after the break, which Ivan Rakitic converted.
He then scored the third goal to seal all three points for Ernesto Valverde’s men.
Elsewhere, Chelsea accounted for the most goals in Tuesday’s game as the Blues destroyed Azerbaijani club, Qarabag 6-0 at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues dominated from start to finish at Stamford Bridge, with Pedro, Davide Zappacosta, Cesar Azpilicueta, Tiemoue Bakayoko all getting on the score sheet before a late own goal from Maksim Medvedev completed the rout.
In the game between Celtic and PSG, big money buys Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, both found the back of the net while Edison Cavani grabbed a brace.
Moving further, Bayern Munich and Manchester United 3-0 wins over Anderlecht, and Basel respectively.
Meanwhile, Nigerian striker Aaron Samuel enjoyed an away win with his club CSKA Moscow who beat Benfica 2-1 in Portugal.
