David Cameron’s full speech as he resigns as British Prime Minister

British Prime Minister, David Cameron has resigned as Prime Minister following a landmark referendum that saw the country vote to leave the European Union.david cameron

Mr. Cameron voice broke as he announced the cabinet would meet on Monday to draw up a time-table for his exit as leader of the world fifth largest economy.

A new prime minister is expected to be elected in October.

In a speech outside 10 Downing Street he said:

“The British people have voted to leave the EU and their will must be respected.

The will of the British people is an instruction that must be delivered.
