Kidnapped students of Lagos State Model College, Igbonla, Epe, have been released.
Dolapo Badmos, public relations officer of the Nigeria police force, zone 2, confirmed this on Friday evening, but could not give details at press time.
Nevertheless, reports have it that the students who were kidnapped on May 25, were released at Aboto Creek in Ilaje local government of Ondo state on Friday afternoon.
Their parents had earlier paid a ransom of N31 million but their captors refused to let them go.
It is not clear if it is all the six students who were released.
The development comes less than one week after Acting President Yemi Osinbajo vowed that the children would return “as quickly as possible”.
