Chris Brown and two other people including his bodyguard were taken into police custody this morning in Paris. The arrest followed a rape complaint filed against the artist by a woman.
The multi-talented artist was detained on Monday after charges of aggravated rape and possible drug infractions were filed and he remained in custody Tuesday, a judicial official said.
French investigators are to decide after two days either to file preliminary charges or to let him go.
This is not Chris Brown’s first run in with the law over violent conduct. He pleaded guilty to an assault case involving his former girlfriend, Rihanna in 2009. Also in 2017, his ex-girlfried Karrueche Tran was granted a permanent restraining order against the singer after she accused him of making threats against him their break-up.
