Twitter, has suspended the official account of a militia in Nigeria, the Niger Delta Avengers with the handle “@NDAvengers”.
The suspension of the account is coming, just few hours after revelation of attacks on some oil installations in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria, this means the group is using its handle to publicise heinous activities, which is against the rules of Twitter.
When you visit the NDA’s Twitter account, you will see the message:
“This account has been suspended, Learn more about why Twitter suspends accounts, or return to your timeline.”
There is clear indication that Twitter suspended the account, for breach of one of its rules, which states; “once an account engages in abusive behaviour, like sending threats to others or impersonating other accounts, we may suspend it temporarily or, in some cases, permanently.”
