Former US president Barack Obama congratulated his “friend” Joe Biden on Twitter, saying “this is your time”.
Biden served as Vice President in Obama’s administration. Obama is slated attend the swearing in ceremony set to begin shortly at the Capitol.
Sharing a picture of the pair, Obama wrote on Twitter; “Congratulations to my friend, President @joebiden! This is your time”.
