Brazil has been picked as the new host of the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup, replacing Peru.
The decision to pick Brazil as the new host, was taken by the FIFA Council at their ninth meeting in Miami, United States, on Friday.
This will be the first time ever that Brazil will host the FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Peru were originally picked to host the tournament before FIFA took away the hosting rights, following inspection of the facilities and concern over organisational challenges.
This year’s tournament will hold from 5 to 27 October in five Brazilian cities.
