Just barely 48 hours after a tanker gut fire along Upper Iweka in Onitsha another tanker explosion has taken place along Enugu/Onitsha express way.
According to eyewitness, the incident had occurred along Bassey Filling Station Bus-stop at about 3am in the morning spilling out all its content. The content then flowed through an underground into Heritage street, in Omagba where it actually exploded.
Properties which includes, earthworming machines, buildings (two storey buildings), and vehicles about 15 in number were destroyed.
Before the Anambra Fire Service arrived the area, the resident already trooped out to quench it.
As at now, there’s no death recorded, but residents bemoaned the losses.
Also this morning channelstv reports that another petrol tanker lost its control and fell along Agulu road and has caused panic amongst residents of the area.
