A petrol tanker which is said to be loaded with, Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), on Thursday afternoon fell along the Onitsha/Enugu express way, by chipex filling station, spilling it’s content.
The residents of the area have with immediate effect, started fleeing the area, though there’s no report of fire outbreak.
As at press time, the PMS is still spilling out of the fallen tanker truck, a source revealed.
Spokesman of the state police command, Haruna Mohammed said “It is highly advisable you alert residents in the area through your medium to steer clear from the premises in order to prevent any disaster.
“Meanwhile, Police patrol teams have cordoned off the Area and fire Service department was equally contacted to be on standby in order to prevent fire incident.
“You will be updated with any further development please”.
