The Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, has announced that some parts of Lagos will on Tuesday witness four hours of blackout (power outage)
Ndidi Mbah, spokesman of the company, in a statement said it will carry out an annual maintenance of its equipment at the Itire 132KV Transmission Sub-station in Lagos today (Tuesday) for four hours.
Areas to be affected are Ago, Okota, Ilasamaja, Ijesha, Itire and their environs.
“The TCN, therefore, appeals to customers that take supply from distribution load centres covering the areas mentioned above to bear with us for four hours on Tuesday, March 27, as they will experience temporary outage on that day.
“The TCN hereby apologises for inconveniences that may result from the temporary disruption of supply to them and noted that routine maintenance is necessary for the station to maintain transmission capacity.
“The TCN promises to continue upgrading and maintaining her equipment to serve Nigerians better in line with the Federal Government’s strategy on incremental power to the citizenry.”
