Anyone caught hobnobbing with expelled students will face dire consequences – LASU

The Lagos State University on Friday told its staff and students to stay clear of expelled students of the institution, warning that anyone who hobnobs with them would face dire consequences.

The University gave the warning in its Official Bulletin obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday.

“The University stakeholders, staff, students should stay clear of these expelled students as anyone who hobnobs with them will face dire consequences as well as sanctions,’’ it said.

Authorities of the University, in the bulletin, also warned all expelled students to stay off its campuses except they are invited or cleared to do so.

The University reminded them that it was an act of illegality for any expelled students to visit its campuses without any invite or clearance.

It also said that one Opeifa Yusuf, a 300 level student of the Department of Insurance, Faculty of Management Science, had been rusticated for two semesters for misconduct and causing damages to the university main auditorium.

According to the bulletin, the University’s Vice-Chancellor Prof. Olanrewaju Fagbohun, approved the rustication of Yusuf, following a recommendation of the students disciplinary Committee at its meeting on April 19, 2018.

“The Vice-Chancellor has approved the recommendation of the Students Disciplinary Committee at its meeting held on April 19, 2018 in respect of misconduct by Opeifa Yusuf.

“The Rustication is for two semesters and decision takes effect from May 28, 2018,” it said.

The University also reminded its students of its directive as regards them swearing an affidavit of good conduct at any government court convenient to them, and then submitting it afterward to the appropriate division of the school.

“The directive is in line with the management’s commitment to ensuring good attitude of the university students, ” it said.
