Bandits attack Kaduna community kidnap 12

Some suspected bandits have attacked Kerawa village in Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State during the wee hours of Friday and kidnapped not less than twelve persons.

Amongst those kidnapped are ten women and two men.

A resident in the area who is also a youth leader, Mr. Jamil Kerawa, told DAILY POST on Friday, in Kaduna that the bandits operated for hours freely.

Another resident, Mustapha, who operates a kiosk in the community said the bandits kidnapped 12 people, comprising of two males and 12 females.

He said one person was killed while another was seriously injured and was taken to an undisclosed hospital in Zaria.

He said the lives of the residents in the community were in danger, adding that the presence of security operatives was scanty and that bandits operate anytime unchallenged.

Some villages like Hayin Dam, Rago, Unguwar Salahu and Zariyawa were recently attacked and residents were displaced

The Public Relations Officer, Kaduna Police Command, ASP Mohammed Jalige did not pick his calls and did not respond to text messages sent to him
