According to multiple reports, at least 20 people have reportedly been shot in San Bernardino, California.
The San Bernardino Fire Department tweeted today that it was “responding to reports of 20 victim shooting incident.”
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department warned people to avoid the area due to police activity, adding that they are looking for between one to three suspects.
A friend of one of the surviving victims spoke to CNN, telling the network that she witnessed a gunman open fire.
“The guy came in next to her office and I guess started shooting,” the friend said. “They see bodies on the floor. Ambulances are taking people out in stretchers.”
There is a Planned Parenthood around the corner from the location where the shooter or shooters remain active, but CNN reports that it was not targeted in the incident.
The Sheriff’s Department confirmed on Twitter that there were multiple victims in the shooting, but did not elaborate.
