The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari will host his very first Presidential media chat on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, the special adviser on media and publicity in person of Femi Adesina has confirmed it. The programme will be broadcasted live by the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).

He added that the President will answer broad range questions from a panel of journalists on current national issues. He also stated that the Presidential Media Chat will begin at 7pm. Other television and radio stations in the country will hook-up to NTA and FRCN to relay the programme to their prestigious viewers and listeners. Since Buhari was sworn in on May 29, he has been accused of not discussing his greatest policy issues with local media but with the foreign media. The Wednesday’s chat will grant him the opportunity to change that perception.
