Caitlyn Jenner was nominated as a nominee for the Glamour Women of the Year Awards and joined the likes of Lady Gaga, Victoria Beckham and last year’s winner Lupita Nyong’o. 
This was the 25th anniversary of ‘women of the year’ award which held on the 9th of November.
Caitlin stepped out in a sapphire blue Gown for the Awards ceremony and was seen on the red carpet at the event held in Carnegie Hall in New York. This award is one of the sophisticated awards which important names are recognized in the world of fashion, business, music and the film industry and the award is meant to celebrate women’s achievements.
Caitlyn Jenner accepted the Glamour woman of the year award on Monday, telling the crowd that she believes she was put on Earth to tell her story and make a difference in the world. Though Caitlin isn’t the first transgender on Glamour but her nomination caused loads of controversies on social media.
She said that before she had come out as a woman, she stayed home most of the time. “Now,” she said to cheers, “I actually like going out, and being myself.” Jenner described her journey to becoming a woman, and spoke of how he sat down with his children to discuss plans to go public. She said she had realized that perhaps “this is why God put me on this earth, to tell my story … and make a difference in the world.”
Kylie Jenner came out to grace the event with a too casual outfit and blames it on wardrobe malfunction.
