Manchester United’s poor run of form continued as they were held to a 0-0 draw by LaLiga side Valencia in Group H in this season’s UEFA Champions League at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

United went into the clash on the back of three straight games without a victory (two defeats and one draw) but could not break down the Spanish outfit who have just one win in their last five games in all competitions.

With the stalemate against Valencia, United are now second in the group on four points while Juventus who thrashed 10-man Swiss side Young Boys 3-0, thanks to Paolo Dybala hat-trick, top on six points.

Champions, Real Madrid, failed to replicate their matchday performance which saw them beat AS Roma 3-0 as they were stunned 0-1 away by CSKA Moscow who had goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev sent off, in Group G.

Nikola Vlasic was the hero for CSKA as his second-minute goal was the difference between both teams.

Madrid are now winless in their last three games (two defeats, one draw).

The group’s other game saw Roma bounced back from their loss to Madrid with a convincing 5-0 thrashing of Viktoria Plzen.
