Chelsea gave new Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta a defeat in his home debut as Tammy Abraham’s late strike sealed a dramatic 2-1 win for the Blues in a thrilling London derby on Sunday.

Arteta, taking charge of his first home game since succeeding sacked Unai Emery, looked on course for three important points after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s header in the 13th minute put the Gunners in front.

But with just seven minutes away from victory, Arsenal goalkeeper, Bernd Leno, misjudged the flight of a free-kick and sprawled out of his box, thereby leaving Jorginho to tap in the ball into an empty net to spark a Chelsea fightback.

Chelsea struck again with three minutes of normal time left, Tammy Abraham turning Arsenal substitute Shkodran Mustafi far too easily in the area to beat Leno and complete the smash-and-grab raid.

Chelsea boss, Frank Lampard, ditched his three-man central defence and introduced Jorginho in the 34th minute after he clearly felt he got his team selection wrong, and the substitution was the golden twitch for the Blues as their midfield became more stabilised.

After dominating the first half, the Gunners fell like a pack of cards as their London rivals dictated the pace of the second half.
