COVID-19: Buhari will not address Nigerians on Monday – Femi Adesina

Mr Femi Adesina, Spokesman to President Muhammadu Buhari had on Monday said the President will not address Nigerians on COVID-19.

Kokomansion recalls that Aliyu Sani, Cordinator of the Presidential task force on COVID-19 on Sunday while speaking during a channels tv program, Sunday Politics said President Buhari will brief Nigerians on Monday May 18th.

According to Aliyu, the President will decide whether or not the country should continue with the second phase of the easing of the COVID-19 lockdown.

Adesina, however, noted that there was never a planned national broadcast.

Speaking on his twitter handle said, “No presidential broadcast on COVID-19 updates today. None was planned. Rather, the Presidential Task Force will during its usual media briefings bring the nation up to speed on the next steps.”
