COVID-19: Nigeria records 626 fresh cases as toll surpass 27,000

Nigeria on Thursday recorded 626 new cases of Coronavirus.

According to data from the NCDC the cases were spread across 19 states including FCT, with Lagos accounting for the highest number of infections for the day with 193 cases.

The states with the 626 new cases are Lagos-193, FCT-85, Oyo-41, Edo-38, Kwara-34, Abia-31, Ogun-29, Ondo-28, Rivers-26, Osun-21, Akwa Ibom-18, Delta-18, Enugu-15, Kaduna-13, Plateau-11, Borno-8, Bauchi-7, Adamawa-5, Gombe-4, and Sokoto-1.

NCDC also confirmed that as of 11:50 pm on 2nd July, there are 27,110 total COVID-19 confirmed cases reported in Nigeria.

10,801 patients have been discharged with 616 deaths across the country.
