COVID-19: Nigeria records 790 fresh cases in one day as toll surpass 26,000

Nigeria has recorded 790 fresh cases of Coronavirus.

According to data from the NCDC the cases were spread across 19 states including FCT, with Delta accounting for the highest number of infections for the day with 166 cases as the Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa and wife tested positive.

The states with the 790 new cases are Delta-166, Lagos-120, Enugu-66, FCT-65, Edo-60, Ogun-43, Kano-41, Kaduna-39, Ondo-33, Rivers-32, Bayelsa-29, Katsina-21, Imo-20, Kwara-18, Oyo-11, Abia-10, Benue-6, Gombe-4, Yobe-2, Bauchi-2 and Kebbi-2.

Furthermore, the NCDC confirmed that as of 11:50 pm on 1st July, there are 26,484 total COVID-19 confirmed cases reported in Nigeria.

10,152 patients have been discharged with 603 deaths across the country.
