The Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC), Hameed Ali, has approved the appointment, in acting capacities, of three customs officers for being efficient in their duties.
According to a Customs official statement, Joseph Attah, the spokesman for the NCS, named the benefitting officers as Talatu Isa, an Assistant Comptroller-General (ACG), Talatu Isa, now appointed the Deputy Comptroller-General (DCG) in charge of Tariff and Trade; Comptroller Amajam Bukar as Ag ACG, Enforcement, Investigation and Inspection and Comptroller David Chikan as Ag ACG, Human Resources and Development.
The Customs said the officers were being rewarded for achieving “high revenue collection and spectacular seizures”.
However, eight other customs officers were redeployed from their former postings. They are:
DCG Chidi Augustine, who was moved from Excise, Industrial, Incentives and Free Trade Zone (E,I,I and FTZ) to Strategic Research and Policy (SR and P), while DCG Iferi Patience was redeployed from SRP to (E,I,I and FTZ).
ACG Sarki-Umar Folasade was redeployed from E,I,I and FTZ to SR and P, while ACG Fatade Aderenle was moved from Zone D Headquarters to E,I,I and FTZ, and ACG Enwereuzor Frances, moved from SR and P to Zone D Headquarters.
Others affected by the redeployment are Comptroller Azarema Ahmed from Coordinator CGC’s Compliance Team to Federal Operations Unit Zone C, while Comptroller Odibu Christopher from Ikorodu Lighter Terminal to Oyo/Osun Command.
Deputy Comptroller Adeniran was moved from E,I and I to Ikorodu Lighter Terminal.
