Mr. Ahmed Raji (SAN), who is one of the lead lawyers to former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col Sambo Dasuki (rtd), disclosed that his client has met the terms of his bail condition but he’s yet to be released.
He said, He has been able to meet all the bail conditions after he was granted bail by the court. The only thing he hasn’t gotten is the signature of the judge for his release.
The former NSA may spend the Christmas in custody if he is unable to get the judge to sign the document for his release.
Dasuki and four others are standing trial with him include a former director of finance at the office of the NSA, Shuaibu Salisu, a former Group General Manager of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Aminu Baba Kusa and two firms, Acacia Holdings Limited and Reliance Reference Hospital for alleged money laundering and criminal breach of trust over alleged diversions of the money recovered from the Abacha loot which was meant to purchase arms to fight Boko Haram terrorists.
Their bail terms includes the sum of N250million each and a surety each who must be a serving or retired civil servant not lower than the rank of a director. They were also asked to submit their international passports with the court registrar and also to notify the court of any travel arrangement outside the FCT.
