Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday reassured Citizens, that he won’t spare anything to see that security and peace are achieved across the country.
The President made this statement while he met with members of the National Security Council (NSC) on Thursday.
The National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Monguno (RTD) while speaking with State House correspondents, revealed that he briefed the Council on the challenges facing the country.
Delivering Buhari’s message, Monguno said that: “Arising from this meeting, I will like to assure all Nigerians that Mr. President is fully onboard, he is committed to doing whatever is necessary to reduce the spate of violence and insecurity in the country.
“He is also committed to spending whatever resources he has at his disposal to bring to a quick end to all the issues affecting Nigerians and bringing a lot of sorrows to Nigerians. That is the most important takeaway from today’s meeting.”
In attendance were, Yemi Osinbajo Vice President and Boss Mustapha Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Others in attendance were the security and Service Chiefs, as well as some cabinet members, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama.
Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami and the Minister of Internal Affairs, Rauf Aregbesola also attended.
