Mr Bolaji Tunji, the media aide to the former Oyo state governor, Abiola Ajimobi, has dispelled rumours making the rounds that his principal has died.
Rumours have earlier made rounds on the new media that the acting chairman of the ruling APC died of Coronavirus.
But in a terse Facebook post on Thursday night, Mr Tunji urged people to disregard the rumours.
”Kindly disregard all the rumours, just rumours. In all, we remain prayerful,” he said.
Ajimobi is reportedly battling COVID-19.
On Tuesday, he was announced as acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). That was after the Court of Appeal upheld the suspension of Adams Oshiomhole.
