The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) said it has arrested Ekiti State Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Toyin Ojo; and the Accountant General, Mrs. Oluyemisi Owolabi.
The ceremony, held at the Chelsea Hotel in Garki, Abuja, was attended by a former deputy governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore; and a former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode.
A short statement by EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, noted that the two officials are now in its custody.
“They were picked up today following their refusal to honour previous invitations for interrogation in relation to pending investigations on the misuse of bailout funds by the Ayodele Fayose administration,” Uwujaren said.
