Ekiti Election: Adeyeye defeated in court by Olujimi

Candidate for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Biodun Olujimi has been declared winner of the Ekiti South Senatorial district poll,  by the Appeal Court.

On Wednesday the court moved to Kaduna State to deliver the judgement on the case which was filed by, Prince Dapo Adeyeye, Senator representing Ekiti South Senatorial District.

The tribunal in the earlier ruling on the matter had declared Olujimi the winner by, 54,897 votes against Adeyeye who had 52,234 votes after the Justice Danladi A  deck-led tribunal nullified the elections in some unit.

While she was reacting to the victory, Olujimi tweeted “Congratulations to my steadfast constituents of Ekiti South Senatorial District and all Ekiti people indeed.

“It is a Victory For Democracy and the Freedom of Choice.

“May God only be Praised, to Him alone be all the glory”.
