Enugu residents leap for joy as Rev. Father Mbaka who reportedly went missing has resurfaced in Enugu.

Some residents in Enugu state had taken to the streets to protest over his whereabouts amid reports that the Catholic priest was missing.

He had been scheduled to attend his usual Wednesday morning prayer programme, but did not show up.

Many of those who had visited the prayer ground had taken to the streets, demanding to know where he is.

They were seen with leaves and tree branches as they chanted solidarity songs along some major roads.

Recall that Mbaka has been in the news lately over a controversy involving him and the presidency.

He had demanded that President Muhammadu Buhari should resign or be impeached over “bad governance”.

The presidency responded with an accusation that he is angry because his demand for government contracts was rebuffed.

In another statement, it alleged that some religious leaders were working with unknown persons to overthrow Buhari.

Femi Adesina, Buhari’s spokesman, had said disgruntled religious and past political leaders were planning to “throw the country into a tailspin, which would compel a forceful and undemocratic change of leadership.”
