FEC approves six new private universities (List Inside)

The Federal Government of Nigeria, at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) held on Wednesday approved the establishment of six new private universities in the country.

The decision is part of steps taken to enable National Universities Commission (NUC) ensure maximum supervision in order to maintain required standards.

The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, who briefed State House correspondents at the end of meeting which was presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, listed the  6 new private universities.

Here is the full list of the 6 new private Universities below.

  1. Admiralty University, Ibusa, Delta State
  2. Spiritan University, Nneochi, Abia State;
  3. Precious Cornerstone University, Ibadan
  4. Pamo University of Medical Sciences, Port Harcourt, Rivers State
  5. Atiba University, Oyo State
  6. Eko University of Medical and Health Sciences Lagos

President Muhammadu Buhari was not at the meeting because he is currently on an official visit to Kano State.
