Immediate past governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, currently battling curruption charges at the Federal High Court Lagos has been granted a N50million bail.
Fayose who has been in EFCC custody since he left office, appeared before the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Wednesday.
He was asked to provide a surety who must have a landed property in Lagos. The guarantor is also required to have three-year tax clearance in Lagos.
The embattled Ex-governor is contending with an 11-count charge hinging on money laundering and abuse of office leveled against him by the anti-graft agency.
He was arraigned by the EFCC before Justice Mojisola Olatoregun at the Federal High Court in Lagos where he has now been granted bail as further deliberations on the charges against him continues on an adjourned date.
