I agree with Obasanjo’s letter, but himself and Buhari are expired leaders – Fayose

The outspoken Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has said he agrees totally with former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s letter, but went further to describe the former president and President Muhammadu Buhari as “expired” leaders.

In the said letter, Obasanjo asked Buhari to retire from public office and forget about seeking re-election.

He also accused the president of nepotism and condoning corrupt practices committed by his allies.

In a series of tweets about the letter, Fayose said Obasanjo re-echoed his claims about Buhari.

He, however, said both leaders have “outlived their usefulness” to Nigeria.

“I agree with Obasanjo’s letter even though he didn’t say anything that I have not said about Buhari and his govt before,” he wrote.

“However, Obasanjo and Buhari are like accuser and the accused, two of them are analogue and they do not represent the Nigeria of today.

“Obasanjo (the accuser) and Buhari (the accused) are both expired people that Nigerians are desirous of getting rid of.

“They both don’t know when they were born and have outlived their usefulness in the political life of Nigeria.”
