The International Police, INTERPOL, in Nigeria has confirmed that it has arrested popular Instagram celebrity, Raymond Igbalodely, otherwise known as Hushpuppi.
According to Thenation, Garba Baba Umar, Commissioner of Police in charge of INTERPOL in Nigeria, confirmed this on Friday.
The Interpol boss also disclosed that plans are on the way to extradite Hushpuppi from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Nigeria to face charges of fraud.
Umar said that: “It is true that Hushpuppi was arrested by the INTERPOL. We are currently working on bringing him to Nigeria to face charges of fraud.
“Some of the offences were committed here in Nigeria and he has to answer for them. He is not alone in it; there are accomplices in the country who we are currently on their trail.”
Kokomansion recalls that Hushpuppi and his accomplices were on Tuesday arrested in connection to defrauding the US of over $100 million meant for Native Americans in the fight against the Coronavirus disease.
