The African Sun Times in America, has announced the former President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, as its International Person of the year.
The news paper chose different categories to be awarded this year which include International Person of the Year, African Statesman of the Year, Corporate and Social Responsibility Company of the Year, Pan-African Person of the Year, Diaspora Person of the Year, Most Influential Person of the Year Under 40 and the African Tourism Ambassador of the Year.
It was said that the former President, in person of Dr. Jonathan, dazed every one by puttig a call through to his opponent and conceding his defeat in the presidential election that was held in March 29, which made the predictions of violent and bloodshed in Nigeria to be aborted and also keeping to his words that says no blood of any Nigerian should be shed in other to further his political ambitions.
The former President was applauded throughout the whole world and was recognized for such courageous act and for creating a solid foundation for the growth of democracy in Africa.
