A Federal High Court in Abuja, has ordered that Omoyele Sowore be remanded in the Department of State Services (DSS) custody, pending his bail hearing on Friday 3rd October 2019.
Mr Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika, while speaking on his bail application, urged the Court to allow Sowore to continue with his bail, which was earlier granted to him by, Justice Taiwo Taiwo.
But Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu, the presiding judge, said a fresh bail need to be filed, since the bail was not predicated on the charges which he was arraigned in Monday.
She said if she would grant a fresh bail to hem it would be a formal written bail, not oral.
She urged them to file a formal bail application and then the case was adjourned till Friday 1st October.
Meanwhile, some officials of the DSS were seen, forcefully dragging Sowore as he was not granted access to speak with the press.
Sowore had pleaded no guilty of the seven count charges leveled against him, treason, money laundering and also cyberstalking President Muhammadu Buhari’s government.
