31-year-old Nigerian songstress, Simisola Ogunleye, popularly known as Simi, has released her sophomore album titled ‘Omo Charlie Champagne’.
Simi took to her Instagram page in the early hours of Friday to announce that the 13-track album is dedicated to her late father.
“When I was compiling this album, I knew I wanted to dedicate it to my daddy, Engr. Charles Oladele Ogunleye – who passed in 2014. I’m blessed to have come this far. I’m blessed that it was possible for me. I do not take this for granted,” she wrote.
“I couldn’t possibly be more thankful for this journey. To have amazing people like you supporting me everyday is absolute Magic! I love you.”
The “smile for me” singer dropped the on a day she added a year to her age.
“If it’s 12am in your area, go on all the platforms and listen to #OmoCharlieChampagne Vol. 1,” she added.

In the album, Simi featured Patoranking for ‘Jericho’, Maleek Berry for ‘Immortal’, and Adekunle Gold, her husband, for ‘By You’
She also dropped some fantastic singles including ‘Lovin’, ‘I Dun Care’, ‘Ayo’, ‘The Artist’, ‘Charlie’, ‘Please’, ‘Move On’, ‘Hide And Seek’ and ‘Love On Me’.
‘Omo Charlie Champagne’ is now available on major streaming platforms.
