The government of Enugu state, is yet to take a decision on the payment of the N30,000 minimum wage, thenation reports.
When contacted, Mr Chuks Ogwoke, the Chief Press secretary to the Governor, said he would soon clear with the governor.
Meanwhile, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi , had told the workers during the May 1st workers day celebration, that they should pray for a financial windfall in the state.
He said his administration was concerned about the welfare of the workers.
Ugwuanyi also told the workers that his administration would also do everything to ensure harmonious relationship between the government and workers.
Ugwuanyi had said “We will ensure that these issues are comprehensively and satisfactorily addressed in concert with other relevant government agencies and departments”.
