A video showing men of the Nigerian army forcing believed to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), to swim in dirty swamp water while flogging them with canes, has surfaced on social media.
According to the person who brought out the video, the incident took place along Aba-Umuahia road.

Meanwhile, the Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Sanni Usman, said the Army had gotten complaints of the said video, adding that it had commenced an investigation into the matter while the report would be made public.
Usman further said, “I don’t know which video you are talking about but whatever it is, we have had complaints of videos online.”
“The General Officer Commanding 82 Division, Major General Adamu Abubakar, is investigating it and whatever it is, we will definitely let the public know about the outcome,” he added.
