Larissa Drohobyczer, a lawyer to Kathryn Mayorga, who accused Cristiano Ronaldo of rape, has revealed that they will meet a former girlfriend of the Portuguese star over the allegation.
Larissa said Leslie Stovall, a member of Mayorga’s legal team, has spoken to Jasmine Lennard, a British model and reality TV star, who claimed she dated the Juventus’ star ten years ago.
According to the lawyer, Lennard has offered to assist in Mayorga’s case against the Portugal captain and, that they will meet in London.
“I can confirm that Leslie Mark Stovall has spoken to Lennard regarding Cristiano Ronaldo.
“Stovall’s travel to London, England will be based upon his discussions with London lawyer Jonathan Coad and his client Jasmine Lennard,” Larissa revealed.
But Ronaldo’s legal team has said the former Real Madrid forward does not remember meeting Lennard.
She was said to have appeared on Celebrity Big Brother at the time. Earlier in January, the 33-year-old targeted Ronaldo in several social media posts, but later deleted her Twitter account.
The rape allegation against the former Real Madrid player dates back to an incident, which took place in a Las Vegas hotel in 2009.
The Police have issued a warrant for a DNA sample from Ronaldo, as part of their investigation. His lawyer, Peter Christiansen, said the warrant was a “very standard request.”
“Ronaldo has always maintained, as he does today, that what occurred in Las Vegas in 2009 was consensual in nature, so it is not surprising that DNA would be present, nor that the police would make this very standard request as part of their investigation,” he said.
One of his former girlfriends, Irina Shayk, had earlier offered to help the victim’s lawyers in the case.
However, Ronaldo, 33, has denied the allegation that he had illicit sex with the American.
