Usain Bolt has won a third consecutive 100m gold, after reaching the final in 9.81 seconds!He crossed the line first, securing his place as the greatest sprinter of all time. Justin Gatlin of the United States came second in 9.89 secs, and Andre de Grasse of Canada was third in 9.91 secs. Bolt celebrated after his win while carrying a plush Vinicius, the Games mascot.
Recall that Bolt won gold at Beijing 2008, London 2012 and now Rio 2016, making him the only sprinter to win the 100m three times.
He is also favored for a third straight gold medal at 200 meters and as the most vital member of Jamaica’s 4×100-meter relay team.
