Former governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole has approached the Appeal Court, over the decision of a Federal Capital Territory High Court to suspended him as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In the appeal filed before the appellate court on Wednesday, hours after his suspension, Oshiomhole expressed dissatisfaction with the ruling of Justice Danlami Senchi, who asked him to stop parading himself as the chairman of the ruling APC.
Senchi had ruled on the suit filed by Mustapha Salihu, Anselem Ojezua, Sani Gwamna, and four others, who contended that Oshiomhole is currently suspended, and is yet to challenge his suspension as a member of the APC by Etsako ward 10, in Edo State.

The judge asked the party to desist from acknowledging the former Edo governor as its chairman.

He also warned the ruling party not to grant Oshiomole access to the national secretariat.

Meanwhile, after the High Court ruling, the police took over the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, after deploying more officers to the building.
