Shettima Decorates new Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun

The newly appointed inspector-general of police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun was on Tuesday decorated with the rank of IGP by Vice-President Kashim Shettima. The decoration of Egbetokun took place at the presidential villa.

Recall that on Monday, President Bola Tinubu approved the immediate retirement of all security chiefs — including former IGP Usman Baba.

Speaking after his decoration, Egbetokun said “I am looking forward to taking over tomorrow morning by 11 am”.

“I really can’t describe how I feel presently, but if I have to tell you anything, I will tell you that right now I feel like a tiger inside of me, ready to chase away all the criminals in Nigeria.
