Members of staff of Nigerdock (Snake Island) had a peaceful protest on Friday, where they complained to the management of the company about series of unfair sacking and delayed salaries.
The protesting workers however continued the protest this morning, Monday, 7th of September, in a bid to be heard. The management who had sensed the protest would continue this morning had invited the police, who came in this morning, and teargassed the workers.
The unsuspecting protesters had to flee for their lives as no one could stand the threats of the police men.
